Presented all of my income and expenses from the last month in concrete numbers and used them as the basis for my income and expense plan for the next month.
I set a goal to spend not all of my income.
I started to record daily income and expenses, analyse them at the end of the month and plan for the next month.
I made a payment calendar for the month.
Count income and expenses
The reason to calculate the total expenses of the family for the first time was another spat with my wife over money. Friction on the subject of everyone's participation in common expenses we had periodically happened. It seemed to me that my wife hung all the obligatory expenses on me. She only spent her money on herself. She accused me of spending too much on my own entertainment to the detriment of the family.
So I decided to put all the receipts and expenditures into one table and see what's really going on. We sat down, calculated who spends how much and on what for a month within the framework of total family expenses. And we were convinced that both of us were overreacting to the accusations.
